Are they real ducks you ask? No! They are super-duper, specially weighted and trained racing rubber ducks!!!!
How do we determine a winner, you ask? Easy! You purchase a numbered “Duck Ticket.” The number on each ticket corresponds to the number on the bottom of one of the super-duper racing ducks.
We toss them in the waters of the Blanco River and watch them go!
Your number could win first, second, third, fourth or last place prizes!
Before the event, you will see us out in the community “selling” tickets in front of Brookshire Brothers Grocery, Ace Hardware, and other places around town. You can also get your tickets online using the form or come by the Wimberley EMS station.
1st Place is $2,000
2nd Place is $1,000
3rd Place is $ 500
4th Place is $ 250
AND…. the Lame Duck (last place) gets $250 too.
YES! The event is fun for the community. We have food, bouncy houses, face painting, music, and you can meet the Wimberley EMS team. Bring the kids, the dogs and your chairs for a fun afternoon.
